MER-C Salurkan Bantuan Kemanusiaan untuk Korban Serangan Israel di Lebanon Selatan

Saida - On Tuesday (June 9, 2026), MER-C Indonesia distributed 600 packages of bread and 100 food boxes to a refugee camp in Saida, Lebanon, located in the building formerly known as the Justice Building. This aid was distributed after the MER-C Team conducted an assessment and assessed the urgent need for humanitarian assistance for the refugees in the camp. The city of Saida is one of the areas with a concentration of refugees affected by Israeli attacks, due to its location on the border with South Lebanon. The refugee camp has been operating for approximately three months and currently houses approximately 93 families, ranging from children to the elderly. In addition to Saida, the MER-C Team also distributed humanitarian aid in the form of food boxes and hygiene kits to Palestinian refugees in the Shatila Camp. The team also operates a mobile clinic to address the refugees' health needs. Through this series of activities, MER-C Indonesia hopes to provide direct benefits to communities affected by the conflict in Lebanon, particularly in terms of health and meeting basic needs. This activity is also part of an effort to strengthen cooperation with local partners and obtain a more comprehensive picture of humanitarian needs that still require support in the future.
