The Newcastle & Hawkesbury River express - November 29/30th
The final mainline tours of 2025 hosted by THNSW, consisted of a weekend of vintage diesel locomotives 4306 and 4001. On the 29th of November, the consist ran up to Newcastle for one day on a recreation of the Newcastle Flyer, a run which used to commonly see 43 class locomotives during the 1950’s through to the 70’s. And on the 30th, the train made another trip north to Gosford, where passengers were allowed to alight at Hawkesbury River and Woy Woy for lunch.
