Kyiv Metro: Zoloti Vorota / Cinematic FPV

"Yaroslav founded the city - the great Kyiv, and this city has the Golden Gate." The main gate of Kyiv, a symbol of its greatness and glory. Good news and ambassadors of other countries came to the city through the Golden Gate. Sometimes the swords of the conquerors chipped against the walls of the gates, but mostly they were impregnable for their time. This is where the history of the city of Yaroslav the Wise and our history of the Kyiv Metro begins. The Golden Gate metro station rightfully has the status of one of the most beautiful in Europe, because its architecture and decoration are impressive. As soon as the passenger arrives at the station, he seems to be immersed in the chronicles and legends of the Kyiv princes and ancient Kievan Rus' temples. Powerful columns, marble and granite, massive chandeliers and, of course, mosaics remind us of this. Large mosaic panels with George the Victorious and Archangel Michael – the patrons of Kievan Rus' and Kyiv – are watching you from the walls. Double mosaics inside the arches, where the founders of Kyiv, its princes and main temples are engraved. None of the mosaics is repeated, surprising with ingenuity, and sometimes – hidden meanings. One of the mosaic friezes proudly says "Glory to Ukraine". Together with the Kyiv Metro we have prepared a series of videos about the Kyiv underground transport system. Three lines, 52 stations, more than 19,000 meters of escalator canvas – we lowered our drones to the ground to show each station as it was seen by its creators. Special thanks to the Kyiv Metro team!
