Without funding for three years, I completed my dissertation thanks to a grant from the prestigious Yale University. Throughout my studies, I faced numerous challenges, and like most doctoral students, I received very little support throughout the process. My journey was truly a struggle. I have always been passionate about helping doctoral students. At the beginning of my doctoral studies, I was elected to represent doctoral students on the Laboratory Councils and the Doctoral School, and now I want to dedicate myself entirely to supporting doctoral students. Why? Because if I had had mentorship, I would have saved precious time, made fewer mistakes, experimented less, and established myself much more quickly in the research field. I would have wasted far less energy and probably started earning a living much sooner. Instead, I remained in precarious employment for years, and today I want to help as many doctoral students as possible escape this precarious situation by giving them the tools I acquired through hard work.
