COMMENT FINIR SA THESE ET SOUTENIR DANS LES TEMPS ?

You often ask me how I managed to finish my thesis and defend it on time. For me, defending your thesis is first and foremost about deciding to move forward. 🍀 Are you the next Laureate? 👉 https://erikadupont.com/les-laureats/ 🎓Book your first appointment here 👉 https://calendly.com/dupont-erika/pre... 🎁 Download your free ebook! 👉 https://erikadupont.com/guide-des-doc... 🛎 S P R O P S I C T E! 🛎 👉 Blog: https://erikadupont.com/blog/ 👉 LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/erika-dupont-phd-b864a1151 👉 Instagram:   / erika.dupont_phd   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ IN THIS VIDEO ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The steps to finishing your #doctoral #thesis on time Today, I want to talk about the steps I went through to successfully finish my doctoral thesis. For me, successfully completing my thesis is first and foremost about overcoming oneself, and without really expecting it, I was forced to confront questions and problems I had in my personal life in order to successfully defend my doctoral thesis. Strange, isn't it? Not so much. When I talk to other PhDs, I notice that they too experienced major upheavals in their lives just before defending their thesis, as if, like me, they had to break through the glass ceiling to finish their thesis. When I talk to doctoral students who are feeling seriously struggling with their thesis, it doesn't take long to figure out where the real problem lies: most of the time, it's in their personal lives and the doubts they have about themselves. That's why I decided to talk about my experience with my thesis, my final year, the one that was the most terrible because I had to admit the problems when I tended to push them away, telling myself that I would deal with them AFTER my thesis defense. ▬▬▬▬▬ SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 admitting the difficulties 6:08 deciding to defend 9:40 resolving the difficulties and defending ▬▬▬▬▬ WHO AM I? ▬▬▬▬▬▬ My name is Erika Dupont, I have a PhD in Contemporary Art History since the end of 2019. Without funding for three years, I completed my thesis thanks to funding from the very prestigious Yale University. During my doctoral studies, I faced many questions, and like most doctoral students, I received very poor support throughout my entire career, and my journey was truly that of a fighter. I have always been committed to helping doctoral students. At the beginning of my doctoral studies, I was elected to represent doctoral students on the Laboratory Councils and the doctoral school, and now I want to devote myself entirely to supporting doctoral students. Why? Because if I had received support myself, I would have saved precious time, made fewer mistakes, fumbled less, and established myself much more quickly in the research community. I would have wasted much less energy and probably would have been earning a living much sooner. Instead, I remained in a precarious situation for years, and today, I want to help as many doctoral students as possible escape this precariousness by giving them the skills I acquired through the sweat of my brow. 🛎 S U P B L E D 🛎 👉 The Blog: https://erikadupont.com/blog-2/ 👉 The Facebook page:   / dupont.erika   👉 My Instagram:   / erika.dupont_vstein   How did I manage to finish my thesis? It's a question I often ask myself, because I had great difficulty finishing it. A doctorate, and more specifically writing a thesis, leaves its mark. Deep marks. Personally, I still think about my thesis daily, even though I defended it over a year ago. I could tell you how I did it on a daily basis, what my routines were, what things helped me in that day-to-day life, and I'll do so in future videos because all of these things were very important. But today, I'd like to talk about the "how" you might be looking for if you're watching this video. Routine and methodology are important, but they don't address the underlying problem, which is what's actually preventing you from moving forward. "How did I manage to finish my thesis?" often comes down to asking yourself: "How do I get over my thesis?" How do I get over it? What do I need to do to make it stop when it's been going on for several years and could go on for years to come? How do I do that? That's the topic I'm tackling today. #doctorate #thesis #PhD
