FIRST TIME REACTING TO ያዝ መላ (Yaz Mela) 🇪🇹 | Lij Michael ft. Jemberu JUST BLEW ME AWAY!!

Yoooo everyone! 🇪🇹❤️ Every time I think I've got a good understanding of Ethiopian music, another artist or song completely changes my expectations... and Lij Michael ft. Jemberu - ያዝ መላ (Yaz Mela) did exactly that. The first thing that stood out was the production. Compared to the other Lij Michael songs I've reacted to, this felt much more rooted in hip hop. The beat was smooth, modern and had such an addictive groove that I was locked in from the very first few seconds. What continues to amaze me is just how melodic Amharic sounds over hip hop production. Even though I don't speak the language, the flows almost become another instrument and make the music so enjoyable to listen to. It was also my first time hearing Jemberu, and wow... he absolutely impressed me. The way he kept switching his flow throughout his verse made every few bars feel fresh, and now I definitely want to hear more from him. One of my favourite things about reacting to Ethiopian music is discovering artists that deserve so much more attention outside of Ethiopia. Every reaction introduces me to another unique sound, and I genuinely feel like I'm only scratching the surface.
