Yoooo my people!! 🇪🇹🔥 Today I reacted to Rophnan & Harmonize - YELOMI and bro… this one was an absolute banger from the moment it started. The beat instantly pulled me in. There was a stringed instrument running through the production that I couldn’t quite place, but the melody was so addictive and gave the whole song such a unique flavour. It had that type of rhythm that gets stuck in your head straight away. Rophnan continues to show why he is one of the most interesting artists I’ve discovered on this journey through Ethiopian music. He always brings something different. His sound never feels basic or predictable, and on this track I even caught a slight reggae feeling in the way he was moving with the beat. Then Harmonize came in and added that smooth Afrobeat/East African flavour that worked perfectly alongside Rophnan’s style. The combination of Ethiopia and Tanzania on one track made this feel like a proper East African link-up. The vocals, the production, the melody, the bounce, the vibe… everything worked. This is definitely one of those songs I could have on repeat. It felt fresh, catchy and full of energy without doing too much. Massive respect to Rophnan and Harmonize for this one.
