The government of President Nayib Bukele has 180 shelters ready and fully equipped nationwide to provide timely, dignified, and safe refuge to families who may be affected by Tropical Storm Cristina. Authorities from the National Civil Protection System, led by the Director of Shelters, Josué García, verified that these facilities have mattresses, bunk beds, food, personal hygiene kits, and medical assistance, prioritizing shelters located in highly vulnerable coastal and mountainous areas.
