So you stopped a takedown, now what? Follow up your sprawls with a game plan
Sprawling is one of the most common and high percentage takedown defenses. But what do you do after you sprawl? The sprawl control position can quickly turn into a scramble unless you have an action plan of where to go and how to move after a sprawl. There are MANY effective strategies I didn’t even touch on in this video (Eg: taking the back or standing back up without getting taken down) This is just a short sample of a few techniques I tend to use in this position. The overarching theme here is that sprawling by itself is not the answer. Make sure you always know what comes next.
