AWESOME Historic Otis/Asheville Traction Chimney Elevators at Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.

Video Recorded on May 25, 2025: Guess what, y’all? I’ve FINALLY made it to this wonderful, iconic, and historic environment! After seeing videos over the past 15 or more years, I finally had the chance to visit the pair of old historic chimney elevators. I want to say A HUGE THANKS to the operators in both elevator cars each for taking me on a full round trip on these pieces of beauties, although they are somewhat busy. I don’t mean to sound a little carried away during the video, but I might’ve been too rushed while trying to get an amazing video. Installed in 1913, modernized in either the 80’s oh 90’s.
