I think anyone who's had the opportunity to build an old PC—somewhere between a 386 and a Pentium 2—will agree that it was a more interesting experience than what we're dealing with today. The ubiquitous jumpers, Autoexec, Fdisk, cylinders, and a razor-sharp case weighing a thousand suns are just some of the attractions.
