GM 1.4 Turbo Water Pump & Thermostat Housing Replacement. In this video I'm going to show you how to replace the water pump in your GM 1.4 turbo engine. It is extremely common to have a water pump failure in one of these engines. These engines were used in the Chevy Cruze from 2011-2016, the Chevy Sonic from 2012-2020, the Chevy Trax from 2013-2021, and the Buick Encore from 2013-2021. So as you can see this engine was used in a lot of GM's small cars for about 10 years and these water pumps are very susceptible to water pump failure.
