Drug Smuggler Leads DPS on Pursuit During OLS
On Aug. 19, 2022, a narcotics smuggler led DPS Troopers on a high speed vehicle pursuit on US 77 in Cameron County. The smuggler eventually came to a stop and was apprehended. Troopers discovered over 200 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle. The smuggler was charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
