ANTONBLAST modding: glasshouse but (way too) fast

Nothing particularly new here, just The Mysterious Glasshouse but Anton is stupidly quick. On the topic of my ANTONBLAST mod, Lua has now been added in! This should lower the barrier for anyone who would like to try and add custom code into the game, since the current main way requires you to know C++. It also makes it much quicker to test stuff out, since now there's no need to recompile the entire mod, I can just edit the lua file and that's it. There's still a lot of specifics I haven't figured out about it just yet, but so far I've got the most important part done: you can run GameMaker functions with Lua. Regardless, you'd still need to know how GameMaker works if you'd want to try and do anything, unfortunately I doubt I could do anything about that, but there's definitely ways I could make this much easier and better. What you see in the video is actually done with Lua, there's just a lua file I have that sets a bunch of stuff within the player object so that Anton moves around really quickly. Right now, my current goals are this: Add the ability to play custom levels (this is what I want to get done first) Create a base that provides access to various parts of the game via code and makes adding custom functionality simpler and quicker Will I be able to do this? No idea. But I actually somewhat enjoy working on this, it feels like this could maybe, just maybe, open up a new realm of mods for the game that aren't just reskins or audio edits.
