The Presidency has dismissed allegations linking the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, to a ₦27.4 billion bribery and approval scandal, describing the claims as false and misleading. The controversy stems from claims by Adeniyi Adeyemi, who alleged that he headed a group known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), which he said operated with government backing and maintained links with public officials and foreign investors. He further alleged that ₦400 million was paid through intermediaries to secure approval from the council, and that demands were made for a percentage of the council's proposed ₦27.4 billion funding.
