At around 800 kilometers, Puglia boasts one of Italy's longest coastlines. The crystal-clear sea and the extensive sandy and rocky coastlines with impressive grottoes attract numerous visitors to the southeastern tip of Italy every year. Puglia's predominantly flat landscape has always been agricultural land with fertile fields. Grain and almond trees, but especially vineyards and olive groves, characterize this southern region.
