Carving Ski Comparison

We have had very crusty and icy conditions in Blowing Rock, and after meeting a nice subscriber in the ski shop who recommended this, I went ahead and did a carving ski comparison! Here I check out three frontside skis from Austria: the Blizzard Thunderbird R15 76 WB, the Head Supershape e-Rally, and the Atomic Redster Q9.8. I skied them on 4 short runs apiece: an initial run down Big Appal for a first impression, a run down Strudel to test out slalom turn quickness, a run down Orchard to check out mid-radius GS turns, and finally a “speedrun” back down Big Appal using the Ride with GPS app to track my top speed.
