Via Bocchette Alte (B/C) One of the two main parts of the Bocchette trail in the Brenta Dolomites Tour date: Beginning of August 2023 Link to the entire Brenta tour:    • Via delle Bocchette - Dolomiti di BRENTA -...   Starting at the Rifugio Tuckett (2272m), the day tour is very long and begins with a difficult ascent to the Bocca di Tuckett (2648m). This is followed by many longer vertical segments with some ladders alternating with long ledges. The via ferrata passages are mostly in the B to B/C range, the ledges are occasionally secured but not continuously, but are easy to walk on. The highest point (Spalla di Brenta) is at an altitude of 3020m. This is followed by a secured descent with several ladders, and then another ascent via the 30m long Scala degli Amici ladder. At the top we are again at 3000m altitude (Spallone dei Massodi). This time, a secured descent leads further downhill to a saddle with a fork (Bocca di Massodi), then to the right via the Via Ferrata Detassis (C) over countless ladders. We opted for the slightly longer but easier route via Sentiero Umberto Quintavalle, which leads along the wall on the left and then uphill one last time. The final descent is along marked scree paths until the destination, the Rifugio Alimonta (2580m), comes into view.
