Adrian Vernon Fish - Concertino Arsarnerit for clarinet and piano
Concertino Arsarnerit for clarinet and piano was composed by Adrian Vernon Fish in 1992 and inspired by the composer's travels to Greenland. Arsarnerit is the Greenlandic word for the aurora borealis, and it literally translates to "the ones who play ball" or "ball games." According to Greenlandic legend, those out at night when the auroras began would lose their head, which was then used by the spirits to play ball. I. Allegro giocoso (0:01) II. Adagio (4:17) III. Rondo - Vivace (8:58) Jenny Maclay, clarinet Luis Ramirez, piano
