How to fold & steam in turmeric leaves the traditional way Watch till the end for all the tips & tricks! #chefharpal #harpalsinghsokhi #patolirecipe #patolisweetrecipe #goansweets #turmericleafrecipe #healthyindiandesserts #festivalsweets #maharashtrianrecipe #nagpanchamirecipe #ganeshchaturthirecipe Ingredients :- For Staffing 2 Tbsp - Ghee 1 Tbsp - Pistachios Chopped 1 Tbsp - Almonds Chopped 1 Tbsp – Cashew nuts Chopped 1 Cup - Coconut Grated ½ Cup - Jaggery 1 Tsp - Green Cardamom Powder For Dough 1 Cup - Water ¼ Tsp - Salt 1 Tbsp - Ghee 3 Tbsp - Milk 2 Cup - Rice Flour 4-5 No - Turmeric Leaf Method:- For stuffing 1. Place a kadai on medium flame and heat ghee. Add chopped pistachios, chopped almonds and chopped cashew mix well. And saute for few seconds. 2. Add grated coconut saute for few seconds. Add jaggery and cook until it melts completely, stirring continuously. (Do not let the coconut brown.) 3. Add cardamom powder mix well and transfer the mixture to a bowl. Set aside to cool. For Dough 4. Place kadai on medium and boil water. Add salt, ghee and milk. Let simmer for few seconds. 5. Add rice flour and mix quickly. Cover with a lid and turn off the flame. Let steam for 3 minutes. 6. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. While still warm, knead into a soft dough using a steel bowl. 7. Add a little milk if needed, kneading until smooth. 8. Wash and pat dry the turmeric leaf. Cut them into half. 9. Take one leaf and spread a thin layer of dough evenly over it. 10. Place a spoonful of coconut stuffing in the center. 11. Fold the leaf in half to form a half-moon shape, sealing the edges. 12. Repeat the same process with the remaining turmeric leaf. 13. Place a steamer on medium flame. Place the prepared patolis inside. 14. Steam for 20 minutes. 15. Remove in serving plate and serve warm, drizzle ghee on top.
