La Joya Oculta del Maule - El Enladrillado | Altos de Lircay | Reservas Nacionales de Chile 31/49

The Altos de Lircay National Reserve is located in the municipality of San Clemente, Talca Province, Maule Region, in the Andean foothills of central Chile. Established in 1996, it covers approximately 12,163 hectares. Its territory protects Andean forests dominated by hualo, oak, coigüe, and lenga trees, as well as mountain ecosystems associated with the upper Lircay River basin. The reserve safeguards a significant diversity of native flora and fauna, including emblematic species such as the Andean condor, puma, and tricahue parrot, in addition to unique geological formations like the Enladrillado. We went to the reserve at the end of May 2026, our 30th national reserve on this new journey.
