In this vlog we arrive in the south of Albania, in Saranda and Ksamil, two of the most famous destinations on the Albanian coast. We arrived by ferry from Corfu, and along the way we compare the prices, accommodation, beaches, food and services in Albania with those found in Greece and Romania. We see how much it costs to stay near the sea in Saranda, what the prices are for restaurants, beach bars, sun loungers, drinks and water activities, but also what the famous Ksamil area, called by many "the Maldives of Europe" or "the Bora Bora of Europe" really looks like. The vlog is not only about beaches and crystal clear water. We also discover Albania's communist past, the bunkers built during the Enver Hoxha era, the huge changes the country has gone through and the contrast between its harsh history and the luxury that appears on the coast today. In Saranda we also find a little-known connection with Romania: the story of Nicolae Iorga, the Romanian Institute in Albania and the land on the Ionian Sea that the Romanian state has been trying to recover for years. We went into markets, restaurants and supermarkets, talked to locals, checked apartment prices and tried to honestly answer the question: is Albania better and cheaper than Romania and Greece?
