Principles of fingerprint | UGC NET Forensic science | Fingerprint notes
To get this ppt and notes, visit my website: https://www.forensicsciencehub.com There are 3 principles of fingerprints. The first is that a fingerprint is an individual characteristics, not two prints have been found to possess the same print. Ridge characteristics impart individuality to a print. Once formed, they remain same throughout the life. Fingerprints may look complicated, but the fact is that they have general ridge patterns, making it possible to systematically classify them, and that is the third fundamental principle of fingerprints. Fingerprints have three basic ridge patterns: “arch”, “loop” and “whorl”.
