Class and Individual characteristics of fingerprints | Ridge characteristic types | Minutae types
To get this ppt and notes, visit my website: https://www.forensicsciencehub.com Characteristics are properties of physical evidence that can be attributed to a common source with a high degree of certainty. Examples of individual evidence include anything that contains nuclear DNA, toolmarks, and fingerprints. In fingerprints, class characteristics include arches, whorl and loop pattern. Individual characteristics in fingerprint are called ridge characteristics/ minutae/ galton's ridges. Example of minutae are: 1. Ridge ending 2. Bifurcation 3. Trifurcation 4. Island 5. Dot 6. Enclosure 7. Hook or spur 8. Double bifurcation etc Watch the video for more information. If you found the video useful, then don't forget to like, share and subscribe to my channel.
