How to replace radiator cooling fan in Kia Sportage

This video shows you how to replace the engine cooling fan assembly on a 4th generation Kia Sportage. I’ll show you how to safely remove the front bumper, headlights, radiator support beam, and cooling fan assembly, then reinstall everything correctly. The engine cooling fan plays an important role in preventing the engine from overheating by pulling air through the radiator, especially while idling or when the AC is running. If the fan stops working properly, you may notice overheating at low speeds, weak AC performance, loud fan noise, or the cooling fan not turning on at all. This tutorial also covers: • Cooling fan motor replacement • Fan blade replacement • Cooling fan electrical connectors and resistor • Removing fragile bumper retaining tabs safely • Reinstalling the radiator support beam • Proper torque specs and threadlocker tips • Reconnecting crash sensors, hood latch cable, and wiring harnesses Before replacing the fan assembly, make sure the issue is not caused by a blown fuse, faulty relay, or a bad coolant temperature sensor. Tools used in this video may include: • 10 mm socket • 12 mm socket • Ratchet • Torque wrench • Phillips-head screwdriver • Flathead screwdriver • Pick tool • Clip removal tool • Needle nose pliers This guide is for the 4th generation Kia Sportage (Model Years: 2017 to 2022) and may also help with similar Hyundai and Kia models using a similar cooling fan setup. #KiaSportage #CoolingFan #RadiatorFan #Kia
