Topcon Slit Lamp Bulb Fixation Part 1

This is a procedure to service the inner components of the Topcon old style bulb fixation including diagrams and part numbers. The first half of the video is taking it apart and the second half is tips on putting it back together. Fairly detailed and intimidating but it can be done. Have fun. ☺ What is not shown on this video is getting the slack in the wire harness so you can pull enough wire from the cable harness that is attached to the base of the chinrest. You have to remove the ground wire screw and the main cable harness screw so that you will be able to pull the cable up through the chinrest tube. This should give you enough slack to work with in servicing the fixation assembly. After your repair you would pull the slack cable back through the chinrest tube and reattach the main cable harness and ground screw. (This should probably be another video...☺)
