In the chronicles of the Border Protection Troops, made available by the Border Guard, we came across a training film shot at the Pieńsk watchtower and in the area of ​​responsibility for border protection of the 18th Border Protection Battalion, which was subordinate to the Lusatian Border Protection Troops Brigade in Lubań. It's also worth mentioning that one of the most famous heroes of the Border Protection Troops, who died protecting the state border, Senior Private Tadeusz Wróbel, served at this very watchtower and gained his military training in Lubań with a Border Protection Troop unit.
