Check out our official store 👉 https://patronite-sklep.pl/kolekcja/h... After many weeks of searching and effort, we reached a 100-year-old SS man, a veteran of the Latvian Waffen-SS Legion. We traveled to Latvia to ask him some uncomfortable questions in person. Laimonis Ezergailis is a former soldier of the 15th Waffen SS Grenadier Division, which was part of the Latvian Legion. He is also a veteran of the battle for Bauska, which was recaptured by the Red Army from the Third Reich. Wounded, he was sent to Silesia and then to the Sudetenland. He spent time in, among other places, besieged Berlin. After the war, Ezergailis was tracked by the secret police, but after Poland regained independence, he was awarded state medals and participates in annual commemorations of the SS Legion, a process that is met with great controversy worldwide. We recorded Ezergailis just before his 100th birthday. This video is educational in nature, and its goal—like the goal of the entire History Hiking channel—is to disseminate historical knowledge and condemn German Nazism. ❤️ Like it?
