🙌🏼 The music program Hotel Estéreo is born. This project, directed and presented by yours truly, Juan Andrés Rubert, stems from a desire to give music back the prominence it deserves, to place it front and center, and to analyze the great stories it holds. In this first episode, we inaugurate Room 71 with a figure who is pure contrast: Brian Wilson. We analyze the sonic architecture of the Beach Boys and how a man with limited physical perception managed to map out modern stereo with the album Pet Sounds. And to make things even more amazing, it was conceived and recorded in mono. It's the story of an obsession that forced even the Beatles to raise the bar so as not to be left behind. We go down to the Lounge to review key dates and significant anniversaries. We remember the mystique of George Harrison, the raw power of Led Zeppelin, and the unwavering pulse of AC/DC surviving the loss of Bon Scott. In The Minibar, we serve up the latest news. We review Bruno Mars' return, the inexhaustible creativity of Gorillaz, and the latest news on Limp Bizkit's tour after the devastating loss of their bassist.
