Erias Lukwago reportedly picked by unidentified armed men as police deny knowledge of arrest

The former Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has been picked from his residence in Lungujja by unknown men dressed in uniform similar to the one of the army. Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke says, the force was not aware and has no information regarding the incident. People at the scene of the incident allege that the unidentified men jumped over the fence to access the premises. The reasons for the arrest remain unclear as police have also distanced themselves from the operation
