This is an Indian block-printed fabric that I used often 4 or 5 years ago. I made a gathered skirt with it, and then pieced together the larger scraps to make a patchwork skirt. This time, I pieced together dozens of the remaining small pieces of fabric to make two skirts. I used the last scrap to make a pair of pajama pants. I then bagged the really small scraps and made cushions to donate. Fabric is a very important material. By finding new ways to use it until the very end, you gain a greater sense of accomplishment and joy. I was reminded of the joy of continuing to live a life where nothing is thrown away.
