Thanks to it's exclusive Thick Club item, Marowak is one of the most threatening Physical attackers available in early generations. With Lightning Rod granted to it in Gen 3, it even had some utility in Competitive Doubles for Gens 3 and 5. Marowak also received a rather solid Alolan form with an all new Ghost/Fire typing.
