Chandratal - The Last Chapter

The final chapter of our Spiti adventure begins from Kaza, as we set out towards one of the most breathtaking destinations in the Himalayas — Chandratal Lake. Our journey takes us across the iconic Chicham Bridge, one of Asia’s highest suspension bridges, before climbing towards the majestic Kunzum La Pass (4,551m) where we seek blessings at the sacred Kunzum Mata Temple for a safe journey ahead. From there, we leave the roads behind and venture towards the magical crescent-shaped waters of Chandratal Lake, surrounded by towering snow-covered peaks and barren Spitian landscapes. A place that truly feels untouched by time. But the adventure doesn’t end there. As we leave Chandratal behind and head towards Manali via Batal and Gramphu, we encounter some of the roughest and most challenging roads of the entire trip — river crossings, broken tracks, mud sections, and endless stretches of off-road terrain that tested both the rider and the machine.
