How Many Calories Do You Need to Build Muscle: The Saga Continues

So a few weeks ago I did one of my typical videos looking at the (moronic) claim that you don't need a calorie surplus to build muscle. Well not optimally. I took apart the study that everybody is mis-citing and looked at all the other data. Well a new paper just came out (full text linked below) that while not directly addressing the issue of different calorie surpluses ended up making a point about it. That point being that I'm right. So here I'm going to look at the paper, what it did, what it found, how people will invariably misinterpret it, and how it supports my arguments from last time.
