The measurements below will be for the Midwest Ferret or Critter Nation Cage, however, you could easily follow these instructions to make a cage cover for any cage. You would just need to take the measurements for your cage. Make sure to bring your measurements with you) Most fleece in the US measures 59” wide and is sold by the yard (36”) Most cotton in the US measures 48” wide and is sold by the yard (36”) ***Fabric for a Single: 4.5 yards (approximately) (this may vary depending on if the fabric you choose has a design which requires the fabric to be cut so the design is laying on the cage correctly) *** Fabric for a Double: 7 yards (approximately) (this may vary depending on if the fabric you choose has a design which requires the fabric to be cut so the design is laying on the cage correctly) *** Fabric for a Triple: 8.5 yards (approximately) (this may vary depending on if the fabric you choose has a design which requires the fabric to be cut so the design is laying on the cage correctly) MEASUREMENTS: Single Ferret Nation Finished Cover: 36x25x39 (inches) Single Critter Nation Finished Cover: 36x24x39 (inches) Double Ferret Nation Finished Cover: 36x25x63 (inches) Double Critter Nation Finished Cover: 36x24x63 (inches) Triple Ferret Nation Finished Cover: 36x25x76 (inches) Triple Critter Nation Finished Cover: 36x24x76 (inches) ***There is a 1/2” added to the width of each front panel in order to create a hem/finished edge on the exposed side of each panel. If you are NOT creating a curtain style front and making your front panel one piece you DO NOT need to add the 1/2” to the length of the front panel. ***There is 1” added to the length of ALL panels to create the hem/finished edge at the bottom of the panels ***There is a 1/4” added to the sides and top of ALL panels to account for the seam allowance, if you prefer to use a 1/2” seam, then add to the sides and top of ALL panels to account for the seam allowance ***There is 1/4” added to ALL four sides of the top piece #ferrets #ferretcage #etsypets
