DIY Cage Liner with U-Haul Padding for Critter Nation / Ferret Nation

Learn how to sew Cage liners for critter and ferret nation with U-haul padding. Some small pets are not great at using a litter box, So adding an absorbent layer to your case liners is helpful and controlling the smell of urine. In this tutorial I use U-Haul padding as the absorbing layer. You can pick up U-Haul furniture pads at any U-Haul store the relatively inexpensive and will definitely help keep your kids liners smelling better for a little bit longer than maybe using newspaper or other types of bedding. You will need the following materials to make these Cage liners: 2.5 yards of fleece for the top of the liners 2.5 yards of fleece for the bottom of the liners 1 package if U-Haul Furniture padding Velcro (optional) sewing machine pen/pencil pins or clips I make my liners a bit longer than the actual pans so they can be tucked under. This helps keep the animals from getting between the layers Fleece and for extra protection I added Velcro as well.
