Clair Ridge is the second phase of the larger Clair field. This video shows the process of starting the second phase and pumping the first oil. For more from bp, subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / @bpplc   In November 2018 the first oil was pumped from the new Clair Ridge platform. 6,000 people were involved in the platform hook-up and commissioning of the new platform before production could be started. The larger Clair field was discovered in 1977 and had an estimated seven billion barrels of hydrocarbons. It is located approximately 75 kilometres west of Shetland in the United Kingdom.
