Bhartia Auditorium, Alliance Française de Delhi The composition begins with a Krishna Prarthana called ‘Krishna Eka Deva Dukhahari…’ from the Naam Ghoxa written by Sri Sri Madhabdev, the prime disciple of Srimanta Sankardev. The Vandana praises the Lord of this Universe - Vishnu. It entails that there is no other God other than Vishnu, who is the storehouse of all virtues. I bow down to this supreme consciousness, the whole universe and this everlasting Narayana. The piece then transitions into Behaar Naach. This is a pure dance under the purush category of Sattriya nritya and originated in the Bhujan Behaar Ankiya Naat written by Sri Sri Madhabdev. Within the Sattra premises, it is performed in groups and in the formation of a circle, with each bhakat facing the Guru Aasan and the audience. This pure dance is known for its jumps and unique footwork.
