John is manning the yanmar vio17 whilst Joe is on the cormidi c85 mini dumper. John explains why he changes the digger bucket in order to dig the 600mm wide footing. The boys finish by hand digging footings down to the blue lias clay level and square footing edges. Joe sets too with the power tools using the hammer breaker to break up concrete and we also see him drilling for rebar fitting. John explains fixing rebar with anchor resin so that after a concrete pour the two concrete foundations are tied together.
