This massive collapse occurred towards the end of my first 100km paragliding flight. I’d launched from Kardoesie and was hoping to fly South towards Wellington. It was pretty smooth flying for around 90km then I faced a strong turbulent headwind coming from Cape Town in the South West. I pushed forward using speed bar away from the ridge towards large fields where I could land.
