Як водії швидких у Харкові вчаться рятувати життя – тренінг BLS | Project HOPE

The Basic Life Support (BLS) training was conducted for Kharkiv ambulance crews. This course is basic and is suitable not only for medical professionals, but also for those who do not have medical knowledge, as every adult citizen should learn the correct sequence of actions when providing first aid in case of emergency. This training was conducted mainly for ambulance drivers, as they often have to help their colleagues. During the eight-hour training, our participants learned the algorithms for providing first aid in case of emergencies such as sudden cardiac arrest or fainting, respiratory distress, and airway obstruction, including using automated defibrillators (AEDs). Knowledge of these algorithms and the ability to apply them correctly in emergency situations significantly increases the chances of saving victims. The assistance is provided withinh the EACAP program in Ukraine with the support of the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)
