Supreme Court On Reservation News : क्या SC/ST आरक्षण में भी लागू होगा क्रीमी लेयर? N18V

In its historic decision, the Supreme Court has also talked about implementing the creamy layer in SC/ST reservation. The decision was given in favor by 6-1. However, till now the creamy layer system is applicable only in OBC reservation. After this decision, now the states will have the right to identify the creamy layer and give rights in Scheduled Caste i.e. SC and Scheduled Tribes i.e. ST Scheduled Caste and Tribe reservation.
