Mt Pinos Backpacking
This was a 2-day 1-night backpacking trip in the Los Padres National Forest. We summited Mt Pinos (8840 feet) and Sawmill mountain (8822 feet) before spending the night at the Waterfall trail camp. The original plan was to stay at Sheep Camp, but there was a lot of boy scouts there, so we moved on to Lily Meadows camp, but there was someone there as well, so we moved on to the waterfall trail camp which we had all to ourselves. The stats for the trip were about 19 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing. The date of this trip was September 21st and 22nd, 2024.
