Driving Through Spain's Hidden Desert! 🌵 | Almeria to Cordoba

Welcome back to 2 Travel 2 Create! We’re Paul and Susan. In this episode, we are completely blown away by the incredible diversity of the Spanish landscape, taking you from dramatic coastlines to towering mountains. Our journey starts with a drive along the Costa Tropical, through Almería, and into the stunning Cabo de Gata National Park for some breathtaking coastal views. From there, we tackle the twisty mountain road of ‘Little Switzerland’ before heading back down to the coast at Mojácar Playa. We then head away from the coast passing Sorbas and the rugged Tabernas Desert—famous as the backdrop for classic Spaghetti Westerns! Hattie rests for three days while we explore beautiful Granada, where we visit historic cave dwellings and take time to sketch at the iconic Alhambra. Finally, we head to Moorish Córdoba, where we are awestruck by the Grand Mosque, cathedral and ruined capital We wrap up this leg of our journey at a lovely little campsite nestled among the olive trees on the outskirts of Córdoba.
