Javokhir Sindarov Smashes the English in 23 Moves

Featured is an instructive chess game between Samuel Sevian and Javokhir Sindarov from the FIDE Grand Swiss 2023. Arising out of the English Opening, Adorjan Defense, we essentially transpose into a position out of a Sicilian Dragon where we observe opposite-side castling. A key moment occurs after 14.cxd5, where Sindarov's reply sets the stage for an overwhelming attack which primarily occurs on the dark squares, and forces Sevian's resignation after only 23 moves. #JavokhirSindarov Image of Javokhir Sindarov by Lennart Ootes lennartootes.com I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8.
