Sindarov's King's Indian Defense Blasts Bluebaum in 27 Moves

Featured is a sharp chess game between Matthias Bluebaum and Javokhir Sindarov from the 2026 Tata Steel Masters. Arising out of the King's Indian Defense with 6.h3, we reach an important moment after 14...Qa5. Bluebaum targets d6 with Bf4, but Sindarov's reply makes him undo his move. From there, Sindarov focuses on Bluebaum's kingside dark squares, giving up a pawn in the process. Sindarov's arrangement with a queen on g5 and knight on f4 ultimately proves to be too difficult for Bluebaum to handle, and he's forced to resign after only 27 moves. #JavokhirSindarov #MatthiasBluebaum Image of Javokhir Sindarov by Lennart Ootes lennartootes.com I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8.
