3D Machine Control is a modern construction technology that allows operators of excavators and bulldozers to accurately and efficiently carry out earthworks based on a 3D design – improving safety and cutting carbon emissions. At the Rochdale and Littleborough Flood Risk Management Scheme in Greater Manchester, the EA’s Decarbonisation Technology Accelerator is demonstrating the potential for this technology to be used across smaller flood and coastal risk management construction projects.
