Death of Youth - Nothing Is the Same Anymore - Engineer Records and others

‘Nothing Is The Same Anymore’ is the second single and title track from Death of Youth's debut album ‘Nothing Is The Same Anymore’. The track delves into the journey one goes through when healing from trauma and grief and learning to live with the metaphorical scars that are left in a person's absence. This is reflected by the music video for the song which features an abstract confrontation with physical manifestations of the different stages of grief inspired by PlayStation 1 era horror games such as 'Silent Hill'. Death of Youth are an Emo influenced Hardcore band from London who started as a bedroom project in 2018 before reforming as a full band in late 2024. Broken and defeated, forced with a burden I never thought I'd bare An unfamiliar story with an all too familiar ending And while I'm still picking the thorns from my soles The trail of blood behind me reflects a strength I didn't know I had I'm more than aware that there's no going back to the way things were This mark may be etched too deep, but I'm trying my best to just get by I can't pretend that I don't still feel the weight of my scars Can't say if I'll fully recover, but having come this far, I'm sure I'll be fine
