The Blue nation as the church calls itself, is founded on the principles of African spirituality. As a chorister, Blue Rose developed a passion for music and spreading the love advocated by her church. As a protégé of famous artist Madlela Skhobokhobo, Blue Rose enters the Kwesami Music Sessions with aura for days and emotive choral harmony. Her opening track Ngiyazifela Ngawe is a personal experience that resembles an ode to love, whose course has never been smooth. The breakfast dish consisted of sorghum porridge that was mixed busika, a plant common in areas of Binga and Hwange. Umkhemeswane/Matamba was added to the savoury meal as a side dish. To close off the set, Blue Rose samples fellow artist Msiz’kay’s hit song Ngawuzwa umoya wam, which is an interesting similarity with her opening track.
