If you were to travel by Shinkansen from Toyohashi to Sekigahara, Gifu-Hashima Station's location makes it impossible to use it, so you'd have to go to Maibara first and then turn back on a local train. On the other hand, conventional lines offer rapid, special rapid, and limited express trains that run to Ogaki or Maibara. If you take a train bound for Maibara, you can travel smoothly to Sekigahara without changing trains. Although conventional lines stop at every station from Gifu, the Toyohashi-Gifu connection is very fast, so taking the limited express to Maibara might be faster than the Shinkansen route that turns back at Maibara... So, this time, we simulated the simultaneous departure of a Kodama bound for Shin-Osaka and a limited express bound for Maibara.
